Summer Leafy Salad


Salads come in all forms. And yet, there's nothing like a fresh leafy one to add drama to a meal and lift it to a higher level. 

This one is a simple, easy to make one, using whatever greens you have on hand. In this case, baby spinach leaves, iceberg lettuce and red cabbage. You can always substitute it with your favourite greens.




Get all your ingredients together.


In a bowl, add the leaves and then the pomegranate seeds.


Squeeze in the lemon.


Now season the salad according to your taste with salt and pepper.


Add in the walnuts and gently toss all the ingredients together.



This salad can be enjoyed on its own, with a steak or even with rice. The rice should preferably be brown rice.
